このフレーズ、日常会話でめちゃめちゃ使われます！
英会話の中でさらっと言えるようにマスターしていきましょう！！！
"depend" には「～を頼る、あてにする」といった意味があります。
類語には"rely" "count" があります。
Children depend on their parents.
子供は親を頼りにする。
このように「頼りにする」という意味でももちろん使います。
しかし、
" It depends." これは「それは場合による」という意味でよく使われます。
" It depends."だけでも意味が成り立ちますが、depend の後にon または if などがしばしば付いてきます。
if や whether のような疑問詞の前において使う場合もありますが、on がないとその文はよりカジュアルな響きになります。フォーマルな場面、書き言葉の場合on を忘れずにつけましょう☺

A: I am still on the fence between Tokyo and Kyoto.

「イッディペン（ズ）」こんな感じで発音しますよ！
最後に、" It depends." と同じような意味を持つこちらも便利なフレーズがあります。
” It's up to you." これは「それは君次第だよ」という意味です。
こちらは決定権が相手にある時に使います。
例えば。。。
A: Do you want to grab lunch together?
B: Sure! I'm getting hungry.
A: What do you want to have?
B: It's up to you!
A: Okay, let's go to the new restaurant that we talked about before!
